BookShout is a service designed to help you achieve your reading goals, both by providing a platform for you to read eBooks on and by providing you with useful information about how you read. This Privacy Policy explains how we at RethinkBooks, LLC collect, use, and disclose information about you through our BookShout websites, mobile application and other online products and services (collectively, the "Services") or when you otherwise interact with us.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you a notification). We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy whenever you access the Services or otherwise interact with us to stay informed about our information practices and the choices available to you.

Collection of Information

Information You Provide to Us

When you open an account with BookShout, we ask you to provide certain information such as your first name, last name, email address, and ask you to create a password. We also collect information when you participate in any interactive features of the Services, read an eBook you purchase from us or that we redeem for you, fill out a form, participate in a contest or promotion, make a purchase, apply for a job, communicate with us via third party social media sites, sign up for our information list and newsletter, request customer support or otherwise communicate with us, or any other information you choose to provide to us.

Information About Your Use of the Services

Usage Information:

We collect information about your use of the Services. For example, when you read a book, we collect information on how much progress you made, how quickly you read it, and how many books you read within a time period to help you track your goals and to make smarter book recommendations to you. We also collect information about books you redeem through offers from our partners.

Automatically Collected Information

When you access or use our Services, we automatically collect information about you, including:

• Log Information: We collect log information about your use of the Services, including the type of browser you use, app version, access times, pages viewed, your IP address and the page you visited before navigating to our Services.

• Device Information: We collect information about the computer or mobile device you use to access our Services, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.

We may use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our Services, to customize your experience, provide you with statistics on how you read, make book recommendations to you, fulfill your orders, and to administer your account. We may also use the information we collect to:

With publishers who partner with us to fulfill your eBook orders and with partners on whose behalf we fulfill promotions you redeem, with your consent;

If we believe your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, or to protect the rights, property and safety of RethinkBooks or others;

Between and among RethinkBooks and our current and future parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and other companies under common control and ownership; and

Social Sharing Features

The Services may offer social sharing or login features and other integrated tools (such as the Facebook "Like" button), which let you share actions you take, such as books you’ve read or passages you like, on our Services with other media, and vice versa. Your use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the entity that provides the social sharing feature. Analytics Services Provided by Others

We may allow others to provide analytics on our behalf across the internet and in applications. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Services and other websites and applications, including your IP address, web browser, mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in apps, and links clicked. Mobile Push Notifications/Alerts

With your consent, we may send you promotional and non-promotional push notifications or alerts to your mobile device. You can deactivate these messages at any time by changing the notification settings on your mobile device.

Device Content on the Mobile Application

With your consent, we may access information on your mobile device such as your contacts list, your device storage, and your camera. You can always withdraw such access by going into your device settings and removing the application’s access to that information. Please note that if you enable access and then remove that access, this could affect the availability and functionality of our Services and of certain features of the mobile application.
